Adventures in Soapmaking + Giveaway

August 06, 2010, 13:00 pm  Posted by Lark

There are times here at Lark when we simply can’t help but get swept up in all the creative temptations that spring forth while working on such great books. Such was the case when Beth and I recently joined forces to whip up a big batch of Simply Lavender soap, one of the 45 great projects featured in our brand new book Soapmaking the Natural Way. With fragrant lavender buds and essential oil, some olive oil melt-and-pour soap base, and some simple equipment at hand, even we were surprised at how easy and fun soapmaking can be. With the help of our fellow Craft Your Life team member, Travis, we finished up the little bars with lovely unbleached parchment and raffia wrappings. What perfect little gems for gift giving!

We’re offering up a little giveaway of a hot-off-the-press copy of  Soapmaking the Natural Way, its companion book Candlemaking the Natural Way, one of our lovingly crafted handmade bars of soap, and a little bag of lavender buds to use in your own soap or crafting creations. To be entered for a chance to win this great collection of goodies leave a comment on this post by 9 p.m EST on Friday, August 13. One winner will be selected at random and announced on Friday, August 20. Click here for the official rules.
