Halloween is over, you’ve made a ghouly girl and eaten way too much candy. Isn’t it time for something nice and refreshing and good for you too? Like fruit. Or, better: like strawberries! Sadly, my favorite fruit isn’t in season right now, but lucky for all of us, there are everlasting strawberries. Yes, there are strawberry fields forever, and you, my Craft-In friends can make your very own–in felt! Craft-In designer Jeanette Lim shows you how inside her scrumptious little booklet–one of 12 sweet project booklets inside the Craft-In box-set. How will you display your Craft-In felt strawberries? Here are some ideas!

Craft-In: 12 Project Booklets for Your Own Crafty Gatherings

Exhibit A: They look terrific as they are, together:

Strawberries, forever in-season

Exhibit B: You can wear one like a brooch, and hand the rest out to five lucky friends. Sweet strawberry posse!

What else can you think of?

For a chance to win Jeanette’s handcrafted strawberries and a copy of Craft-In, leave a comment on this post by Wednesday, November 10th by midnight. The winner will be chosen at random and contacted by November 17th. Official rules are here.

Any comment will do, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on any of the following: 1) What you’ll do with these strawberries if you win. 2) Your favorite recipe with actual strawberries. 3) Your favorite Beatles song (I know, tough one.) Good luck! See you next week for a super duper Craft-In Wednesday you won’t want to miss!

    I love the strawberries! They’d be so cute on top of the little stuffed cupcakes I make. :)

    My favorite strawberry recipe is a strawberries and creme fudge. You use a white chocolate fudge recipe, only instead of regular marshmallow creme, you use strawberry marshmallow creme. And instead of nuts, you use dried strawberries. It’s super yummy!

    I will wear a strawberry with a white coat. . . white coat to follow. I will also give the other strawberries to friends and create an insane strawberry posse. My favorite strawberry recipe is:
    Sabayon with Strawberries from Julia and Jacques Cooking at Home, an incredibly sweet cookbook by Julia Child and her husband about how they express their love for one another through cooking together. Sabayon the French version of a light, mousse-like Italian dessert served in goblets or martini glasses, most often chilled.
    * 1 to 1 1/2 pounds fresh ripe strawberries (3 pints)
    * 1 tablespoon sugar, plus more to taste
    * 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, plus more to taste

    For the sabayon

    * 6 egg yolks
    * 1 cup sweet Marsala wine or port, sherry, or Madeira
    * 1/3 cup sugar, plus more to taste
    * Drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)

    For the whipped cream (for the glazed version)

    * 1/2 cup heavy cream
    * 1 teaspoon sugar

    Special equipment:

    * Special equipment: A large stainless steel or copper bowl, plus a larger bowl for holding (optional)
    * A large saucepan of simmering water
    * A balloon whisk
    * Dessert goblets or large martini glasses, or a medium gratin baking dish (4-cup volume) or individual gratin dishes (for glazed sabayon)

    My favorite Beatles song is: Two of Us.

    2) Definitely smoothies! (banana, yogurt, frozen strawberries/raspberries/peaches, a little apple juice concentrate, splash of water and Blend Away!)
