Giveaway: Entire FOCUS Photography Series

November 03, 2011, 10:46 am  Posted by Lark

In recent years, the availability of affordable, high quality, take-with-you-everywhere digital cameras has turned nearly everyone into a budding photographer. And with versatile hosting and sharing sites literally at our fingertips, it is now easier than ever to tap into a massive community of other image enthusiasts.

As an avid amateur photographer myself, I was thrilled when Lark launched the FOCUS series just over a year ago. Each book in this series shines a spotlight on one popular photographic meme, highlighting the variety in which various people interpret that theme. Every unique photograph begins with a point of view, and these books so beautifully demonstrate that each of us look at the world with a different perspective. Jam-packed with hundreds of photos from photographers around the world, each of these books is a testament to the vast richness of our world and the endless ways it can be captured through the lens of a camera. Images are everywhere, just waiting to be captured. Just open your eyes, and look.

To celebrate the publication of our new book FOCUS: Reflections, we’re giving of the ENTIRE series. That’s right. One lucky winner will receive the full collection of five books: Love, Passages, Found Faces, Letters, and Reflections. To be entered for a chance to win, leave a comment on this post by 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 10. Any comment will do, but we’d love to hear what your favorite photography subject matter is. One winner will be selected at random and contacted on Friday, November 11. Click here for the official rules. THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS to Katie for winning!

I love to take pictures of architectural elements; also photographing words.I love the form and texture in architecture. I love taking a picture of something in an unusual way so you have to look hard and long to figure out what it is. My husband and three daughters are also into photography. But, we all have our own bents and talents. It is something in which we are all actively learning and growing. This set would provide my family with hours upon hours of growth, discussion, and experimenting. What fun!

I love to take pictures of things that may appear mundane and then make them look magical in the pictures I create! I get so excited when I see my photographs on  the computer screen or in prints ~ much larger than the back of my camera or smart phone. I am always up for learning new techniques and ways to improve my works of art. Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I’m usually to running a blog and i really appreciate your content. The article has really peaks my interest. I’m going to bookmark your site and maintain checking for brand new information.

With the whole thing that seems to be building inside this subject matter, many of your viewpoints tend to be somewhat exciting. Nonetheless, I appologize, because I can not give credence to your entire plan, all be it refreshing none the less. It would seem to everybody that your commentary are generally not totally rationalized and in actuality you are generally yourself not fully confident of the point. In any case I did appreciate reading it.
