beads in handHere’s a fun, green craft to do with kids. Create paper beads from catalogs, magazine or junk mail you’ve got laying around the house. Check out Make-Paper-Beads for a good tutorial to get started. Next turn those beads into jewelry. Kids can make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or keychains. Put them on a ponytail. Create a friendship necklace. It’s very simple to do.

Here’s a beautiful paper bead bangle. For really bored kids, start a contest. I love the Great Wall of Beads from ukscrappers. I wonder what else could be created with too many beads.wall of beadsbeaded bracelet

You know, I used to make these paper beads as a kid, but for some stupid reason never even thought of it as a craft for my kids. Thanks for sharing, I think I will definitely try this one! My kids love crafts!

Junk mail turned into jewelry, recycling at its best and kids love it!
