Lark Jewelry & Beading’s Beadweaving Master Class series, featuring some of the leading lights in beading, has included three of Lark’s best-selling titles over the past two years. Diane Fitzgerald’s Shaped Beadwork launched the series in March 2009, and in the fall it was followed by Marcia DeCoster’s Beaded Opulence. Both beautiful books delivered projects, techniques, and advice for intermediate beaders, while still being accessible and inspirational for newbies.
May 2010 saw the release of the wonderful Laura McCabe’s Embellished Beadweaving. Each best-selling title has built upon the performance of the previous book, as the strength of the series as a whole continues to grow. We’re so pleased to be offering this series for the beading community.
For fans of the books, 2011 promises to be a banner year of celebration — even if it can’t come quite soon enough! Sherry Serafini’s Sensational Bead Embroidery releases in April 2011, and the fall publishing season will bring two more gems: Maggie Meister’s Classical Elegance: 20 Beaded Jewelry Designs in August and Rachel Nelson Smith’s Bead Riffs: Peyote and Right Angle Weave Jewelry Projects in September.
I’m pleased to offer you a special sneak preview right now: Click here for a PDF peek at the new Sherry Serafini book with photographs of six of the 25 spectacular projects that will be featured in the book.
One more note: Although we’re not limiting ourselves to this in any way moving forward, so far all the artists featured in Lark Jewelry & Beading’s Beadweaving Master Class series were among the 36 artists showcased in the inspirational gallery book Masters: Beadweaving, curated by Carol Wilcox Wells. That book is a keeper, too.
Finally, all of our featured authors have rich website or blog presences. I invite you to explore them:
