If you’re headed to Minneapolis, you’ll be in fine company with a host of fabulous Lark authors; look for them at the book-signing cocktail hour on Saturday night. We’re getting a head-start on the festivities with a little pre-connection theme this week. And first up is fabric designer Tina Givens. Isn’t she lovely? And check back Friday of this week for extra special giveaway!

What does Creative Connection mean to you?
Complete and utter “connection” with like minded people; loads of giggles and hugs; meeting and getting to know people better; and a lovely time with a group of extraordinary women. Did I say learning and growth because we always have something to learn, and we should always be open to being ourselves….

What are you most excited about the event?
Seeing old friends, meeting new friends, catching up on what they’re up to and what they’re doing. Being inspired by them…

What is the best part of being able to connect with other entrepreneurial women?
Community and growth. We are in an ever-changing economical environment and with ongoing technical change. We need to maneuver just as quickly to survive and make it work. But we also need to stop, take a break, figure out what makes us happy and what does not, and adjust for that as well. Life is way too short, and we are lucky enough to be doing what we love to do, but keeping it in perspective too is vital.

How do you think the event will impact your future plans for business or creative growth?
I have no expectations. I am there to see, absorb, enjoy, be open to learning new things and maybe being inspired which I know will happen in some form whether in my business plans and management or within my creative energy and direction.

What color are your pajamas (for the pajama party)?
White linen is my favorite… always ivory or white…. don’t ask me why, I need to be neutral so my dreams color my world not my PJs.

If you’re headed to the Creative Connection event, what are you most excited about?
