Does the start of a new year have you inspired to try a new technique? The time has come, friends, for you to give pieced curves a try. I know, they can be a bit intimidating, but Jess Berrett‘s Arches Quilt – from Pretty in Patchwork: Doll Quilts – offers a neat technique (and a clear explanation) for creating pieced curves in your quilts. Even better, the technique is perfect for freeform, improv style piecing….and think about all the fun ways you can use this technique in other projects!

Download the project here: Arches Doll Quilt

And be sure to pay Jess’s blog a visit – her work is seriously inspiring!

Check back with us next: we’ll be sharing another fun technique and quilt from the book!

My programmer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on numerous websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it? Any help would be really appreciated!

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such wonderful info being shared freely out there.
