This week, we’re celebrating all the lovely things that can be knit or crocheted and worn(!) in summer. I just learned to crochet this winter (the first New Years resolution I’ve kept in a long time!), and I’ve slowly been working my way through all the projects in Rachael Oglesby‘s Crochet Boutique. I’ve made the Boy Beanie six times (man, it’s fast!), the Cuddle Cowl, and now…the Sunburst Beret. This hat is perfect in so many ways! It stitches up quickly, it doesn’t use a heck of a lot of yarn, and it looks much more involved that it actually is. AND you can wear it in summer, especially if you make it in a bazillion colors….and I intend to. See for yourself:
1. Download the instructions here: Sunburst Beret
2. Stitch it up quick…
3. Hold it up to the light and admire your handiwork…when you’re not wearing it, of course.
