Just incredibly moved this morning by the work of photographer Jessica Hilltout. I saw her work on balls in the July 1st issue of the New York Times. Just a fantastic collection of photographs of balls made by children throughout Africa.

I decided I needed to find out more about her and so explored her website, where I was again inspired by her approach to her work and the incredible amount of beauty and respect present in it. Here are a few images from a series she did called “Moda”…part of a project entitled  “Imperfection”, a culmination of  her travels in Madagascar. “Moda” consists of images of Malagasy garments. A few of which follow:

In her own words “Little things are Big. Less is More. Imperfection is Beautiful.”

What an incredible artist she is.

The picture of the gentleman holding his hat to his chest touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes.
