Free Project Friday: Dog Days of Spring

Do you have a dog in your life? Recently, a couple of my friends adopted a puppy, and he is currently holding down the title of cutest puppy ever.

Dexter, as he has now been named, is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise. The mixed-breed is known as a…get ready for it…Cavichon! This particular Cavichon’s superpowers include being able to nap absolutely anywere (see right), running like a bunny (back legs at the same time), and sticking most of his face into a bowl of water to play with an ice cube.

Since we plan on doing plenty of puppy sitting, we’re going to need a puppy water bowl ready to travel wherever we want to go with little Dex. So this week’s free project is perfect for us, or for anyone who has a dog, or for anyone else who just really wants a dog and borrows one from time to time.

You can see it there on the left…the big guy (no relation to Dexter) is drinking from it: The Folding Bowl designed by Joan K. Morris. You can download the whole thing right here! Isn’t it time you made something for your special dog or puppy?

[...] Lark Crafts has a free downloadable tutorial for making a travel water bowl for dogs.  Designed by Joan K. Morris, The Folding Bowl stores flat for easy transport.  When it’s time for a drink, the sides fold up to form a bowl.  How cool is that??  Don’t have a dog?  Make one to give as a gift to someone who does.  Get the tutorial from Lark Crafts. i’m totally going to make the bowl, not just for my dogs but it’d be a great pressie for friends with dogs!

one thing though – bunny hopping (running like a bunny using back legs at the same time) could be a sign of knee/hip problems. it probably isn’t given he’s a baby and perhaps puppies do that (mine weren’t with me when they were puppies) but i’d mention it when he goes in for his jabs just to be on the safe side ;)

Great tremendous issues here. I am very satisfied to see your article. Thanks so much and i am looking ahead to contact you. Will you please drop me a e-mail?

Some truly wonderful information, Sword lily I detected this. “Treat your friends as you do your pictures, and place them in their best light.” by Jennie Jerome Churchill.

Some genuinely interesting info , well written and broadly user pleasant.

I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays..
